Pizza is really good when you can add to it whatever suits your fancy! You can even make a “pizza party” by setting out many toppings and letting your family pick and make their own. It only takes 5 minutes to bake in the Electric Skillet at 325 degrees!
Start by using two tortillas any size you want.
Place tortillas on a pizza pan and add pizza sauce. You can buy already made pizza sauce in the grocery store. We used Del Fratelli which comes in a can.
We preheated the 10 in. gourmet skillet and added mushrooms to brown without oil.
They browned beautifully and caramelized then I sliced them in pieces in the skillet and added them to my pizza.
In fact, we added all kinds of toppings. Onions, Greek Kalamata olives, peas, corn, and Pesto to name a few.
Put the cheese on top of the pizza and placed it in the preheated 12″ Electric Skillet
Bake 5 minutes with the lid on and take it out with a spatula.
The crust will be nicely browned and crispy.
Delicious and quick. Can’t beat a 5 minute meal! The kids will love them!
You intrigued me with this recipe, that I had to try it! I mixed regular pizza sauce with bbq sauce, then topped with cooked gr beef, raw red onion and mixed shredded cheese ( Colby, cheddar and mozzarella). So yummy and easy! Thank you for sharing this idea đ
I also added chopped cooked bacon with the ground beef
Diane, this sounds so good! I like your additions and I will have to try them soon!
This has been FUN to learn about your blog with Lifetime waterless cookware. We were getting our menu together in hopes of making a run to a grocery store before another week goes by. Top on the kiddos wish list is PIZZA! And they are ready to pick their own toppings. Thank you for sharing, Anne!
John and I hope this helps spur some interest in cooking again! The possibilities are endless! Good idea to get a lot of shopping done at one time to reduce the number of times you have to go to the grocery. Making something like a turkey dinner or large pot roast will cut down on the number of times you have to cook per week also. Let me know how your pizzas went and what toppings you all used! Thanks for commenting and stay well!
Hi Mary Sue,
Pizzas are fun with endless toppings! Try Diane’s pizza from August 30 comment. During the whole shut down of restaurants, we cooked at home every day and ate well! We had time to experiment even more with salmon, steaks, hamburger, chicken, pork and numerous other meats. When our vegetables started coming in, we’ve been trying all kinds of new dishes and toppings for our pizzas! Hope you have, too. Enjoy!
